Overview:
TONTEN Machinery's twin-shaft shredder, also known as a twin-shaft shear shredder, is a heavy-duty industrial device that uses two opposing rotating cutter shafts to reduce the size of materials through shearing, tearing, and compression. The twin-shaft shredder is one of the core pieces of equipment in the solid waste treatment and resource recycling industries. It is a multi-functional, highly efficient, and highly reliable industrial-grade shredding machine, an indispensable key piece of equipment in modern circular economy and waste management systems. Its core value lies in its ability to physically transform solid waste of varying shapes and complex compositions into uniformly sized fragments that are easy to process, representing the first step in turning waste into treasure.
Working Process:
Feeding: Material is fed into the shredder's feed hopper via conveyor belt or manually.
Grabbing and Pulling: As the blades (like scissors) on the two cutter shafts rotate at relatively low speeds, the twin-shaft shredder hooks and grabs the material, pulling it into the shredding chamber.
Shearing and Tearing: The material is pulled into the narrow gap between the two shafts. At this point, the blades on the two cutter shafts of the twin-shaft shredder interlock, generating a huge shearing force on the material, cutting or tearing it into small pieces.
Compression and Screening: The initially crushed material moves downwards under the push of the blades, continuously rubbing and compressing against the blades and the inner wall of the chamber, further reducing its size. Fragments smaller than the bottom screen aperture are discharged from the outlet.
Overload Protection: When encountering uncrushable objects (such as metal blocks) or in case of overload, the control system automatically reverses the cutter shafts, expelling the material and protecting the core components of the twin-shaft shredder from damage.
Main Structure:
Motor: Provides initial power, typically two high-power motors.
Gear Reducer: Converts the high-speed, low-torque output of the motor into the low-speed, high-torque output required by the cutter shaft.
Cutter Shaft: A high-strength alloy steel spindle used to mount the cutters.
Cutters: Core wear parts, made of special tool steel, highly wear-resistant, and heat-treated to ensure hardness and toughness. The cutters are removable and repairable.
Bearing Housing: Employs heavy-duty rolling bearings to support the cutter shaft and withstand enormous radial forces.
Frame: Welded from heavy-duty steel plates, forming the skeleton of the equipment and ensuring overall rigidity and stability.
Shredding Chamber: The space that holds the material and the cutter shaft; the inner wall is lined with replaceable wear-resistant plates to prevent wear.
